ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Due to a high volume of interest STATUS Employment has reviewed its eligibility criteria. In view of this situation, we would appreciate it if all referrals were made using the following eligibility criteria
Mental Health Criteria
To be eligible for our service we need you to be able to meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must understand that STATUS Employment is only able to work with people moving towards paid work.
- Candidates must have an understanding of their mental health and be able to manage their medication, or have appropriate services involved if not taking medication
- Candidates must have been stable for a period of time
- Candidates must be linked into CPA or appropriate services and support networks

Here discussions will take place about the service required and eligibility criteria. It would be helpful if you could enclose the most recent copy of your Care Plan. This information will ensure we complete an accurate and effective assessment of your skills, career aspirations, health needs and support you require. With the help of you and your support network we can then determine an appropriate way to proceed.
Learning Difficulties Criteria
To be eligible for our service we need you to be able to meet all of the following criteria:
- Be unemployed and seeking paid employment.
- You may have to be in receipt of a disability benefit...or
- Have attended a special needs school/college or have special needs.

IAPT Eligibility Criteria
Personalised Employment Support linked to Short-term ‘talking therapy’ from NHS’s IAPT service
This new project will take a preventative approach to mental good health by offering a combination of short-term ‘talking’ therapy from qualified health care professionals, alongside employment-specific advice from an established mental health employment service. The service is likely to be operating fully in the early Autumn of 2009.
To be eligible for this service we need you to be able to meet all of the following criteria:
- Candidates must live in the London borough of Lambeth and be over 18 years old.
- Candidates must have been off work for some time with sickness absence (or have been unemployed) as a result of a high level of anxiety or depression.
- Candidates will want to get back into paid work.
- Candidates must have an understanding of their mental health and be able to manage any medication or engage with available support networks.
- Candidates should be engaged in (or wanting to start) the programme of short-term therapy provided by our health partners.
- Candidates do not have to identify as having a disability. We will discuss the pros and cons of this regarding your employment with you.
