FUNDING

STATUS Employment continues to be funded by a variety of different organisations.

See Status Employment's current funders here

We are funded through the central government funded "New Deal for Disabled People" initiative - STATUS is an NDDP "job broker"; through local authority service level agreements and local authority "regeneration" initiatives.

In 1999, the STATUS Supported Employment Service for Mental Health Service Users was launched funded by Croydon Health Authority using SRB funding, who continue to support our work in the borough. STATUS also receives Health Inequalities Budget Funds(for Croydon) and Healthy Living Centre funds (New Opportunities Funding) in Croydon, and Healthy Improvement Budget funds in London Borough of Sutton. STATUS has also been fortunate enough to receive corporate support - in 1996 a partnership was formed with Sainsbury's, giving major private sector funding in a very successfully project. 26 jobs resulted and a 75% staff retention rate was achieved by our clients.

Support

Support is of a fundamental importance to STATUS as a charity. Yes, it's "funding" and STATUS has been very fortunate in receiving money from a great number of organisations and individual supporters over the years. But this is only part of the picture - many organisations and individuals have also given of their expertise and their time, this has been invaluable. As STATUS has grown to help more disabled people into work our needs have also grown. We want to sustain and increase our level of work with job-seeking disabled people; therefore, we need to sustain and increase our funding and resources.

Can you help in any way? Can you help to fund us or pass on good fundraising ideas, or offer "in kind" professional support? If you can, please contact Rosemarie Harris or Nikola Curtis.
